This article is faulty in so many ways, it should really be taken down and started anew. First of all, the title is misconceived: The simulation theory is not primarily a theory OF empathy, but rather a theory of how we understand others -- that we do so BY a kind of empathetic response, or a putting ourselves in the other's place. (Even that isn't quite right, but it's an improvement.
