Anthony Bessemer edit

I wonder if you any further information of Anthony Bessemer. I've found almost nothing about him - he born in London about 1758 then the family move the Netherlands (or Holland) in 1769. But then he was working in Paris. He was working in the Paris Mint and made improvement to optical microscopes. At the time of the French Revolution as Minister of Bread (or similar) then managed to flee and got back to England by about 1799.

But I can't find anything cite-able. The first child, Sophia, was born 1803. I can't find any kind of BMD details of his wife or own life.

I feel that because his family were Huguenots, the name was anglicised and his time in Netherlands and Paris were with another name.

What think you? Talk about confusing (talk) 13:58, 11 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
