This is an excellent start! I think the direction you're heading with your article is great and it makes a lot of sense. Adding sections on types and benefits is a significant contribution, and I also like that you're adding project examples for continents/regions beyond Europe and North America.

For the "existing projects" section, I suggest perhaps changing the title to "examples of existing projects" and then adding a sentence at the beginning explaining that it is a non-exhaustive list. Otherwise, as we discussed, it will be impossible to include all existing projects across the world. This will also be a great thing for other Wikipedians to contribute to over time! That was an interesting topic! I really enjoy it. Maybe adding case studies of successful floodplain restoration projects, a section on challenges and solutions, and updating the page with the latest progress would greatly enrich the content.
