Welcome!
editWelcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!
Just to let you know, I reverted your edits to David Miller. If you wish to add information on David Miller the harmonica player, you should create a different article, instead of placing the two different people together in an article. Perhaps a good place for this would be David Miller (musician) (you can click on the previous red link to create the article).
However, I feel I must let you know that if he doesn't meet these notability guidelines, this article may be deleted. You have my assurance that I would not nominate this article for deletion (since I am obviously involved in it now).
Good luck, but most of all, have fun!
Manual of Style
editCould you please pay attention to the Manual of Style when writing articles. Also please do not use Wikipedia to advertise yourself or any other agency - you can buy webspace for that. -- Francs2000 | Talk 14:34, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Can you please stop uploading the same unwikified content again and again? We can stop you from editing if you persist. Read the manual of style and learn how to do it properly and you won't get people like me jumping on you every time you do something. -- Francs2000 | Talk 14:41, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- User blocked for blatant vanity/advertising. -- Francs2000 | Talk 14:46, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Vandalism
editPlease stop removing content from Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --JYolkowski // talk 16:03, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Note this user has been blocked before and has thus far failed to make a single useful contribution to Wikipedia outside advertisements and self promotion. If there is more vandalism or advertising to come from this user in the future I would suggest a more long-term block. -- Francs2000 | Talk 16:14, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
