Wikijerks edit

OMG Bluer! What a shame the way they treated you! It seems that been a Hall of Famer and being on a project that got over 10 FAs counts for nothing in this new Wikipedia. Meh... Just leave it, we can do better work elsewhere while the wikilawyers bicker here. Renmiri 04:23, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sad, I agree. The sadder thing is that they acted more arrogant because they believe they have "the policies on their side". I don't think they understand that policies and guidelines are just that - guidelines. They are not, say, "rules", and there's nothing wrong if an action is acceptable and beneficial even if it infracts a policy, if only a bit. Yes, we'll leave them to their own "wikipedia utopia". — Blue 05:58, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Llyud.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Llyud.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:18, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for the barnstar. I'm glad to hear you're considering editing again. Though I understand the reasons behind your decision to stop, I, and I'm sure others, would be very happy to see you start back up again. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:42, 27 November 2007 (UTC))Reply

Will the real BlueHighwind Please Stand Up? edit

Yo wassup? Its me BlueHighwind, the most awesome man in the entire universe. If you're still having doubts whether or not it was me or some imposter last night doing all that vandalizing, you'll be happy to know that I can still edit this website. Since fake BlueHighwind banned, I don't think he could be typing these words right now. Any one can edit as long as it is not banned. The only banned user is the one with the username. You can still edit because you are using an IP that is not banned yet. BTW, I still have my doubts. Why WP:FF? Why my userpage? Why YOUR username? — Blue 13:48, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:FF12Montblanc.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:FF12Montblanc.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FFT: War of the Lions slowdown issue edit

1. You have at the top of this page in bright white letters in a black box a statement saying you will NOT be editing any more Final Fantasy wiki articles. What's up with that?

2. I've seen plenty of youtube links as external links in other articles which stayed on.

3. There shouldn't be a need to provide sources for every little tidbit. If it's true, it should STAY, as in this case.

4. Quit covering up the fact that you've never played the PSP version and let people who actually PLAYED it to give REAL facts related to the article.

5. Just because slowdown wasn't mentioned in reviews doesn't mean it's not true.

6. Instead of deleting what I wrote, why don't you format it in the correct way so we don't have to do this tit-for-tat BS we're doing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.86.158.200 (talk) 03:06, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

1. I have my reasons, which is none of yours.
2. That does not mean it is allowed.
3. If it's true, provide a source to verify it.
4. My not playing it has nothing to do with the article.
5. See no. 3
6. If you'd like it to be in, why don't you format it better when you write it in?
Blue 03:14, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

1. that was the biggest copout answer i've ever heard. you're a hypocrite. either take down the black box or stop editing my edits.

2. oops you're wrong: "Linking to YouTube, Google Video, and similar sites There is no blanket ban on linking to these sites as long as the links abide by the guidelines on this page (which would be infrequent). See also Wikipedia:Copyrights for the prohibition on linking to pages that violate intellectual property rights."

there's no copyright violation since the gameplay footage was publicly shown. last time i checked, photographs or video footage taken at a convention are public domain and are allowed.

3. youtube link proves it, which that specific link is allowed under wikipedia rules. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.86.158.200 (talk) 04:41, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

1. Who are you to make demands upon me?

The rest: This is not the said article's talk page. Let's get back there. — Blue 04:58, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Summary: "I'm wrong but I'm still going to act like an elitist." Get over yourself. On your other talk pages you whine about "wikilawjerks" but then make up rules and try to enforce them? You aren't somehow "intellectual," you're just some random guy on the internet who likes Final Fantasy, which there are more than enough of already.

Wow, so now you are resorting to personal attacks. It is kind off sad that you had to do that just to get your point across. If you had convinced me with good faith, I might have thought otherwise. — Blue 05:08, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Haha, hate to break it to you, but I didn't write that Summary bit. Someone else did. Wish I had though. 69.86.158.200 (talk) 05:14, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't matter. I have nothing to lose, and the one who writes the summary stands to gain nothing. — Blue 05:16, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

OH GOD NO WE CANT LOSE BLUERFN —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.232.166.145 (talk) 07:47, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is there a problem, if you are that concerned? Apparently in Wikipedia, anonymous users can get flustered over what I write, even if it does not concern them at all. :) — Blue 11:11, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
The thing is, Blue, we're not supposed to accept YouTube as a source. Most users would be convinced by a YouTube, but we can't use it… It's probably best to find if any reliable magazines or sites have reported on this issue.—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 17:56, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
So may I remove it? I do not like the idea of it being in the article, but the IPs keep reverting it and I don't know how to stop them from doing so. Is there a policy or a guideline I could cite? — Blue 18:01, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well it's not like YouTube is mentioned specifically, but it seems to fit "questionable sources" at WP:V. It's not like YouTube goes around checking if the videos are true, right?—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 18:14, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
