L'Express (Mauritius)

edit

Hi, your change to L'Express (Mauritius) directly contradicts the previous version. As your claims are rather strong, do you have any references from reliable sources to back them up? If you do, please, add them to the article. Thanks. Svick (talk) 12:17, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Yes I know it is contradictory. I lived in Mauritius for 23 years and I read the paper almost everyday. I found l'Express to be very independent. There is a survey on media opinion which backs this. I will have to look for it. I will give the reference in two days. (I'll have to email the guys at l'Express for them to point me to the survey.) Regards.

Great. Because all information on Wikipedia should be verifiable, it doesn't matter what you think (even if you are right), but what reliable sources say. Svick (talk) 13:26, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I added a reference to the Code de Deontologie for journalists of La Sentinelle Ltd. This should be clear that they thrive for impartiality, following this code of conduct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blebon (talkcontribs) 18:48, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Unfortunately, their own Code of Conduct isn't a good source. They can claim what they want there and reality could be completely different. Do you have any third-party sources to back up your claims? Svick (talk) 19:12, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I do not know where to find that. The best thing is to email the newspaper and ask them to edit the article themselves. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blebon (talkcontribs) 19:19, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
No, that wouldn't be the best thing. Wikipedia discourages editing with conflict of interest. If you don't know where to find better sources, we'll have to hope someone else will. Thanks for trying to improve the article. Svick (talk) 19:48, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
