A tag has been placed on The corks requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jacotto (talk) 07:28, 20 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of The Corks edit

A tag has been placed on The Corks requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Tagging The Corks for deletion

Hello, Blasticore ... I recently encountered the article about The Corks while performing either New Page Patrol, Recent changes patrol, or Counter-Vandalism Unit activities, and in my opinion as a Wikipedia editor, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Music, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it reads like blatant Vanispmcruftisment.

The point is that I plan to tag The Corks (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) with either a {{Prod}} that explains my reasons why I believe that it should be deleted, or else a {{Db-music}} tag for speedy deletion (CSD A7).

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article or a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page ... please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. —72.75.72.63 (talk) 21:39, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The biggest problem with this article (right now) is the lack of even a single independent reliable source citation to verify that they meet the Wikipedia:Notability (music) criteria ... references to the subject's own MySpace page are not WP:RS by Wikipedia standards ... Happy Editing! —72.75.72.63 (talk · contribs) 22:24, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Buffonery Album Art.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Buffonery Album Art.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:58, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
