Speedy deletion nomination of Sober Spike edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Sober Spike requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Unionhawk Talk E-mail Review 01:59, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

November 2009 edit

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Sober Spike, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you.--Unionhawk Talk E-mail Review 01:59, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Sober Spike edit

The article Sober Spike has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I can't find significant coverage for this band.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Joe Chill (talk) 02:29, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Sober Spike edit

I have nominated Sober Spike, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sober Spike. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Joe Chill (talk) 02:32, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

May 2010 edit

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Sober Spike. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Jminthorne (talk) 02:38, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Talk:Sober Spike. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Katieh5584 (talk) 18:58, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the final warning that you will receive regarding your disruptive edits, such as this edit you made to Angels & Airwaves. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing without further notice. HarlandQPitt (talk) 19:10, 2 May 2010 (UTC) 3rd warning rescinded. HarlandQPitt (talk) 20:20, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re: AVA edit

I did not accuse you of vandalism. I marked your edit as an editing test as your edit, while unnecessary, was benign as opposed to vandalism. However, I will withdraw the warning on the basis of WP:AGF. HarlandQPitt (talk) 20:18, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Signature edit

I noticed that you seem to be having some trouble signing your posts. The simple function to do this is to use four successive tildes (~) at the end of your post. This will append your username along with a link to your talk page and a time stamp. Hope this helps! HarlandQPitt (talk) 01:26, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Greetings edit

Hey, I noticed that today you repaired some vandalism on the site. I just wanted to mention that I noticed and really appreciate it. It is frustrating when an article you have worked on gets put up for deletion and I admire that you are not letting it get to you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need help. Regards! Jminthorne (talk) 02:25, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sober Spike edit

A tag has been placed on Sober Spike requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 05:01, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Don't write articles about yourself or your band. C1k3 (talk) 05:10, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Nice try. Your username is a dead giveaway. C1k3 (talk) 05:43, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Collaboration of Punks edit

HEY HO, LET'S GO!!!

Punk rockers—As you know, the Ramones are undeniably the first punk rock band, so it is vital to this genre that we collaborate to improve their scope! So far, I have worked on the band's first three albums, and it would be awesome if all the punks on Wiki would aid in expanding/cleaning the Ramones articles. You can see my progress here.
Please fellow fans, do this for the old-school punk.
