Welcome!

Hello, Bkenner, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

The problem is (at least when I filed the AfD) these interwikis seem to go to foreign-language articles on Tie, not on the book. Interwiki links are supposed to match up articles about exactly the same subject. --ais523 12:34, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

The interwiki links are the 'other languages' links to the left of the article, under the toolbox. They were added by a non-logged-in user (not by you); I mentioned them in the AfD because they seemed a bit fishy. For more information, see Wikipedia:Interwiki. By the way, you may want to participate in the article's deletion discussion (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The 85 Ways to Tie a Tie), because you helped to edit it; also, please sign your comments on User talk, Talk, and discussion pages like Articles for Deletion by typing ~~~~ at the end of each of your comments. --ais523 12:42, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
If you don't want to go to my page to answer a message, you can answer on yours (User talk, not User) and I'll see it (although not as quickly). If you plan to do this a lot, it may be helpful to place such a notice at the top of your Talk page so that other editors know they have to check back. --ais523 13:01, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:The 85 ways to tie a tie.gif)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:The 85 ways to tie a tie.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
