Image talk:HMS Hood and HMS Barham.JPG

edit

Thanks for trying to find a source for that image. Unfortunately I don't think the website you listed can be the source for the image on Wikipedia, since according to the upload dates it appeared on Wikipedia a couple of month's earlier. Also the "life + 50 years" P.D. argument looks very shaky for reasons I documented on the talk page. I think I might have found the original source (the photo appeared in the central spread of the 6th issue of "The Story of The British Empire Told with Pen and Picture", 11th July, 1939. Edited by Clarence Winchester, published by The Amalgamated Press, Ltd., London) but that doesn't seem to clear up the copyright issues unfortunately. Proposed deletion of File:Repeatsign.png

edit

The file File:Repeatsign.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused. Superseded by File:Repeatsign.svg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 14:17, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
