Halloween II- Director's Cut listing.

Hello, Bignole. I've slightly edited the information on the DVD release of "Halloween II," and updated "Unrated Version" to "Unrated Director's Cut," and added a side comment that Zombie claims his Director's Cut is "very different from the theatrical version," and posted a reference to the article in which he says it. Numbers

Copy edit request

I'm from the Guild of Copy Editors. I was going through the backlog of copyedit requests, and I wanted to check with you – does Friday the 13th (franchise) still need our attention?

Yeah, I think it does. I've gone through it again, but that was about two or three months ago. I'm sure the article could benefit from a different pair of eyes, plus since I've been busy with work I haven't been able to keep up with any legitimate changes others have made since then. Human Target

Hey Bignole, since you are a major contributor to Smallville, a new TV series, Human Target (2010 TV series) might be something you would like to help with. I understand. Well, the problem is, the series is an American series, on FOX. It premieres tonight (January 17, 2010). However, in Canada, it premiered on January 15 on a totaly different channel due to syndication. Although it is produced in America, there seems to be sebate on when the series origonaly aired. It we put January 15, then I would assume that the rest of the episodes should be put in with a Canadian airdate as not to confuse anyone who reads. But then again, we only hae American airdates for the rest of these episodes and we resort to confusing the readers of the article. I handled it by putting a note next to the Amrican airdte, saying that it premiered in America on the 17th, but (not to have you contribute to the argument or anythng) the edit was reverted. Numbers

Why is writing numbers as words considered professional? I think that is just a waste of space & ink. There is no reason you should have to put three hundred when you can simply put 300 which looks just as professional. I think writing numbers instead of words looks smarter because the people reading it will know what it means & it will save space & time. It also looks more math like. Smallville

Yes, I did see the new trailer. Wow, it looks really good. Only two more weeks! I am still not solid on the 22 episode count, but what do I know. You will probably be right. And yes, Perry White and Martha Kent are back, supposedly with a huge twist. Im putting money on the twist being Martha has cancer, she's going to die, or she will be returning to the farm. That's a good twist. Maybe that could lead him into debating on whether to become Clark Kent with glasses and Superman. Etherway, I am all for an episode or two with her. Regarding the titles, I know Avatar: The Last Airbender had something on Nickelodeon and they called it one big title to draw the viewers, then I purchased the DVD and the episodes were Title: Subtitle. I have a feeling that this will be similar (though I do realize that a cartoon on a kids channel and a live action show in primetime are different). If they titled the two episodes Absolute Justice and promoted it as one big episode, and titiled the episodes on the DVD Absolute Justice: Society and Absolute Justice: Legends, or AJ: Part I and AJ: Part II, I wouldn't be surprised. But the reason why I also am highly doubting this is because I read on the Ausiello files that there is only one titile treatment to the whole entire episode, which gets me thinking it would be fairly odd to take that and put it on the DVD as two episodes with two titile treatments. But hopefully if they do end up doing a filler episode, it would be good material, instead of just wasted material.ChaosMaster16 (talk)ChaosMaster16

I meant that on the Season 9 DVD, I don't foresee them having the episode as one whole episode. I see them cutting the two apart, either as Part I and II or as totally different names. Do you by any chance know of when there will be another Hiatus for Smallville? I heard that Smallville, Vampire Diaries, and Supernatural (and probably a good majority of The CW shows) would air through February, and go on a four week break in March. But then, three of the top rated shows on The CW would not air a single episode for March sweeps, which is wierd. But it seems plausible, because of the episode counts (VD, 25; SV, 22; SN, 22). Last year, we had 20 SV episodes, and they aired from Jan. 15 - Feb 5 and came back on March 12, thus airing three episodes for sweeps. This year, SV will start to air on Jan 29. Four episodes would be February 19, which I could see them doing then have one episode in March. But its still a little odd with them airing one episode in March. Well, now that you mention it, Life Unexpected's season finale is (I think) April 12, though it might be April 19. And I figure that since there is only 8 episodes of Melrose Place left, and that they begin airing March 8, they won't stretch that show out till May, so the only logical thing to happen is that they put the season (and very possibly series) finale of Melrose Place the day after (and therefore the same week as) Life Unexpected's finale in April. Now that you bring up April, I think that if they are already finishing two TV shows this week, why not finish another one? I don't see how that would be bad, infact, if they promote right (I don't think you can say "promote right" and "The CW" in the same sentence), ratings for Smallville would benifit, especially with their Thurday night line-up's promotion. I was also wondering if there are any TV rankings for the 2008-2009 TV season for shows on ABC Family (specifically The Secret Life of the American Teenager) that you know of. I agree. It's not JUST Smallville either. I mean, there are decent shows on The CW, I could see some people skipping a few episodes, maybe watch them on their DVR or on Hulu, but I mean, there would be a stonger vewership if there was advertising. Advertise on different Networks for goodness sake. But no, The CW does squat. Zip. I watched Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries last Thurday. I saw ONE TV spot for Smallville. ONE! We should purchase The CW and show them how to run a network ;P And yeah, I tried ABC Media and ABC Family Media. And Variety, and other sites, exc. I totally agree, it seems one sided. I heard that the other day, The CW picked up a pilot from McG, the guy who does Supernatural, The Human Target and Terminator Salvation. I don't recall what it is called, but it some weird name. Its sorta like The Human Target, NCIS and CSI all put into one show (from what I heard). If The CW sticks with that name, I will be surprised. REALLY surprised. But, from the looks of it, I could see it being paired with Smallville. Or, if they cancel Supernatural, then it doesn't have a chance of pairing with Smallville. It really all depends on what the network decides, if they Keep Melrose Place, then I could see Melrose Place and the new show being paired. Right now, The CW has 8 shows, nine if you include the new pilot. Now, Superntural could be cancelled, and Melrose Place has a very slim chance of not getting cancelled. If Supernatural is cancelled due to the producers not wanting to go on with the show, then you would have The Vampire Diaries and Smallville unpaired, a new pilot without a timeslot, and Melrose Place which is sort of a combination between Mystery/Suspence and Drama. Personally, I would move The Vampire Diaries to 8PM Friday night, Smallville to 9PM Friday night, Melrose Place to 8PM on Thursday night, and the new pilot to 9PM Thrsday night, which leaves the Wed. 9PM and Tuesday 9PM timeslots open. With American Idol airing against Biggest Loser on Tuesday, I would schedule a repeat of (for example) 90210 on Tuesday at 8PM and a new episode on Tuesday at 9PM. Wed. would be Life Unexpected repeats and 2 hour editions of America's next top Model at 9PM. Moving TVD to Friday paired with Smallville is benificial if they are building their Fridays up. They have two of the top rated shows on the network going against (fairly) low competion (Vampires vs Ghosts and Superman vs. Medium). Thursday is already your strongest night, so put a struggling show in a timespot which you know will do good, and a brand new show right after. I garentee if The CW did this (specifically the Thursday and Friday nights), ratings would be unbelievable.ChaosMaster16 (talk) 18:31, 28 January 2010 (UTC)ChaosMaster16
