Why did you edit my message to plastikspork?

Because your message, "what the hell, man", was quite uncivil. If you wish to discuss matters with fellow editors, I must ask that you maintain both civility and decorum. Judging by Plastikspork's reply below this, I see you have done so. –Katerenka (talk • contribs) 21:04, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Real Madrid

edit

Thank you for your message. I checked your edit history and it appears your most edits have been to Real Madrid C.F. records and statistics, Real Madrid C.F. season 2009–10, and List of UEFA Champions League winning players. As far as I can tell, I have had made no recent edits to any of those pages, so I'm not sure why I am some how involved in "blocking you". Let me know if you have any more details. Thanks. I figured it out. The page is under "semi-protection" until October 3, 2009. It could be that you don't have enough edits to allow for editing pages under "semi-protection". You can always request an edit on the talk page, or wait for a couple more days until the protection is lifted. Thanks. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 13:40, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why the page was placed under "semi-protection" in the first place. Everything I edited on the pages I edited is verifiable as fact and I included citations by linking an article directly from the website which verifies those facts. What was the need for the page to be placed under semi-protection? What did I do that was considered "vandalism"? As I saw it referred to in relation to my edits. If you could clarify how my edits were "vandalism" I would definitely appreciate that. Bigboipcf (talk) 08:50, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The semi-protection blocks all newly registered and IP editors from editing a page. If you are finding yourself unable to edit a page under semi-protection, then it's probably for one of these reasons. It's not necessarily a reflection on your edits, but on the edits of a greater group of editors. If you would like to have the semi-protection lifted from an article, you can request this at WP:RFPP. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 13:45, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
