• Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page to follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons' policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
• No edit warring and sockpuppetry.
• If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
• Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account or IP being blocked from editing.

Sources should be for ideas and information, not verbatim text

Your addition to B.J. Nikkel has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

In a situation like this, it is usually the wrong approach to take to copy newspaper articles word-for-word. Instead, the articles should be used as a source for information. • Do not copy the text wholesale from the Denver Post website! Quoting the bottom of the article: "All contents Copyright 2010 The Denver Post or other copyright holders. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed for any commercial purpose." Re: your post on my user talk

I want to thank you for taking the time to message me. There was no need to blank your message, discussion is the method we use to find consensus for the content that is included in this encyclopedia. I also want to convey that my block of your account was not meant to communicate that you are not welcome to edit here. When users continue to execute edits after they have been advised to cease, it is disruptive to our processes. Your message convinces me that you understand the seriousness of this situation. I only wish that you had stopped to discuss the situation before your block. There were numerous warnings that contained links to the policies that directly applied to the content you wanted to include. If you have read the policies that relate to copyrights and are still unsure of their application, you can message editors that monitor the copyvio discussion page by clicking here: Wikipedia talk:Copyright violations. If you cannot find satisfactory answers there, let me know and I will direct you to editors that are very knowledgable regarding copyvios. While outside parties may be well intentioned, the editors on Wikipedia are your best source for help and advice on matters relating to policy and editing guidelines.
