Feedback for Crip (Disability Term)

edit

Hi BellaFoxDonnaBurn - You've done some really excellent work here. I've got a few small recommendations to ensure this is in line with other Wikipedia articles stylistically. Content-wise, this article draft is amazing! You've done some excellent research and everything is very well sources. That's a log of really great work. If you have questions about my feedback feel free to let me know!

  • Overall comments - You'll want to move the footnotes to the outside of punctuation - have the number appear after periods and commas. The controversy section of your draft is perfectly formatted if you need an example.
  • Capitalization - I'm not sure what the convention is for phrases like "Crip Time" and "crip futurity" but some times they're capitalized and sometimes they're not. Just a heads up that they should be consistent within the article or follow convention is there is one. If there are articles for "crip time" and "crip futurity" they should definitely be linked. If there are not you can also red link them, which I'll talk about next week.

Lead

edit
  • Overall comment: this is a long lead and might get trimmed down once it's published. It is similar to the Queer lead in terms of length and history, so it also might be fine. Just wanted to give a heads up and my recommendations are mostly around trimming it.
  • I would remove the second sentence and just link to the "reclaiming" article. If readers need to know what it means, they can click it.
  • I would also combine the second and third sentences into "...experience any from of disability, including physical, mental, learning, and sensory disabilities."
  • I really like the last sentence of the first paragraph and am glad it is in this lead

Crip Theory

edit
  • Second sentence - I think "word" is supposed to be "work"
  • First paragraph - last sentence - I think it should be "communities' use" instead of "communities used"

Controversy

edit
  • Change last sentence - change "their" to "there"
