User name

edit

Hi Belanda Gila, welcome to Wikipedia. As I understand Indonesian really well, your name contains a remark that can be seen as a joke or a racist slur that may hurt other Dutch editors. Could you comment why you chose to use this user name? Thanks. Please drop me a note here or in my talk page. — Indon (reply) — 07:47, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

User name answer

Dan satu lagi di sini! My nick name is Belanda Gila. So I will not change my nick name, don't have to and if other orang2 Belanda get offended by it then they should think first. Or contact me directly, just like you did.

So, where about do you stay in Indonesia then? I was busy translating an article about Jalan Jaksa in Jakarta a week ago, however was so busy and forgot to save it, so I just started again! Belanda Gila 28 July 2007 05:41 (UTC)

Thanks for your answer. I guess there's no problem with your username. BTW, have you browsed through the Indonesian project on Wikipedia? If you like, then you can join it. — Indon (reply) — 10:27, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Advertising in article space

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles. Advertising, and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox", is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. If you think the link should be there you should first discuss this on the article talk page, other editors will come along and give there opinion. Also you only need a few links to expand on whats in the article. Like the warnings say, wikipedia is not a directory of links. Ad@m.J.W.C. 06:47, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also, when you leave a message in future please do so at the bottom of the page and sign your sig with four ~~~~,

I could not see you message at first becuase of this. Ad@m.J.W.C. 06:49, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

No I used to the popups to remove the weblink that you inserted and that was an automatic edit summary.

Popups

edit

If you want to install wikipedia popups follow this link and then follow the instructions. The main thing is to copy and paste what it says to copy and paste into you monobook which is the link that is just under what you have to copy and paste

The next step is to add {{subst:navpop}} to your monobook.js page. This will add the following code to your .js file:
every time you make minor adjustments to my talk page it shows up as a new message and I get confused becuase I cannot see the changes with a quick glance.--Ad@m.J.W.C. 07:15, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
i am not sure what you mean by your last comment, please explane further. Also you have to sign every time you leave a new comment and when you add to a current discussion every new comment should start with a colon, like this : every time you add you keep adding another colon, for example, seconde response once : third response :: fourth response ::: and so on. This will keep ading a space every time you drop a message, just like I have done to your talk page. As you can see it runs down the page in steps or whatever you may wish to call it. Also I am going to give you some quick links that you may find helpful.--Ad@m.J.W.C. 07:24, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Just do what it says here, copy and past this {{subst:navpop}} into this link your monobook.js page then save. The next step is to add {{subst:navpop}} to your monobook.js page. This will add the following code to your .js file:

If you want to have a page deleted all you have to do is copy and past this at the top of the article {{delete|}} You also have to explane why inside the brackets after the line that is after the word delete, but before the bracket. Hope this helps but it does not garantee that the article will be deleted. Also if you try to delete the article yourself you could recieve a warning for vandalism. Thanks--Ad@m.J.W.C. 07:39, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Popups
edit

Sorry I have been away from my computor for a while. Disregard the warning message and simply follow the instructions. If you think I might be upto no good then you may wish to take this further and speak to an admin, if you want copy and paste {{helpme}} bellow my message and an admin will come along and help you with this. Its not that I can't help you its just that after you read that message, its probably made you think twice about following my instructions.--Ad@m.J.W.C. 09:12, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} as I don't see a way of copying and pasting something in my monobook as Adam suggests. look at his page for my comments about being unable to do this. It seems all a bit odd to me. I will not be at the computer for at least 5 days now so I hope to see an answer when I have access to a computer again. Thanks, Belanda Gila 11:36, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi! If you wish to use User:Lupin's Navigation popups:
  1. Follow this link
  2. Click the 'edit this page' link at the top of the page
  3. Type {{subst:navpop}} into the edit box
  4. Click Save Page at the bottom

I hope this helps, :) -- Stwalkerster talk 11:45, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Blocked comment

Indonesian wikipedia has different space than English wikipedia. I suggest you contact admins (Jagawana) there. Here is his/her user page: id:User:Jagawana. I am not an admin here or there, so I cannot help you about that. However, I can understand the blocking reason. Your name is abusing and contains harassment in Indonesian language. I'm not saying also that your username is okay here. Once somebody feels being harassed by your username here, he/she can file a report on WP:RFCN. — Indon (reply) — 13:09, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
