June 2018 edit

Hello, I'm ToBeFree. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Automotive battery because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:43, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Mean as custard (talk) 14:00, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

How are my citations different than the other informative linked websites??? I feel you are not acting fairly with me moving all my citations. They could have brought much help to people with all the information gathered on my site. For example take a look at this cited website:https://www.autobatteries.com/en-us/jump-starting-and-charging/is-your-car-not-starting-flat-dead-battery, how is it different from mine?? And this one exists on WikiBeitMeir (talk) 14:44, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
There are many articles that have problems such as citation spam. The best solution is to fix it, or post a note about it on the talk page, rather than follow poor examples. Trustworthy examples of how an article ought to look can be found at Featured Articles. I fixed the autobatteries.com spam. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 20:14, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
