TACV and WAW

Hi there. I can read amadeus listings no worse than you, thanks. I saw the listing there come up when you vector in a route from WAW to SID and back. Fine. But other than that, there is no evidence of scheduled traffic between Cabo Verde and Warsaw. The airline is piss-poor logistically; it can't even get up its own website in the .cv domain -- it is always "under construction". There is, however, a German-language version hosted in Germany: http://www.tacv.de/ - and it is apparently kept up to date. There is no mention of any Warsaw flights anywhere on that website, and you can see the updated TACV Winter Schedule, clicking on "Flugplan" in the navigation bar on the left, and then checking out the PDF file under the link "Winterflugplan International" ab 28.10.07. As for Polish sources, Gazeta Wyborcza ran a story, where LOT was bitching about charter competition from shady overseas carriers approved recently by the Civil Aviation Office (ULC) for doing business in Poland, and TACV (and Eurocypria) was named there. In addition to charter flights, they are supposed to be able to sell tickets individually to their home country as a right of carriage, but the point is, that the aircraft has not even made it to Warsaw. The first time a TACV flight was to arrive, a SATA flight showed up instead, fulfilling the charter obligation set up with a Polish travel agency (in Katowice, I think). Maybe there were some tickets sold individually on the return leg of it, but there is no evidence of that. The permit they received in Poland is for "nonregular flights" - charter, not scheduled flights. And they are not listed on Okecie web page in any fashion, and they don't even maintain an office at the airport or a representative. So, unless you have some verifiable evidence other than aan advance amadeus entry that scheduled traffic is in fact going on between Warsaw and Sal island, you're propagating a marketing hoax. Why don't you check out messages by spotters on lotnictwo.net.pl forum for WAW - no one has seen a TACV 757 there yet. And people have been waiting for it. Iberia flies to Warsaw - can u see a link to their website on okecie apt website? no. it doesnt have an office there either. plus, as far as i know TACV hasnt started their flights to warsaw yet.

Iberia does fly to Warsaw. It shows up on the airport's flight schedule on WAW's website:

You can't say the same for TACV. On 9 November 2007 SATA arrived and was photographed; the photo has been posted to the net with the description that it operated on behalf of TACV. Presumably they returned on the 2 Fridays since then, or there were cancellations. But there has been no sighting of TACV itself. Anyway, we're talking charters, man. Read this thread [1]. I say, don't mix charter flights with scheduled flights. If you want to list charter flights, list them under a subsection "Charters". TACV, Eurocypria and Royal Jordan are all charters. But to be sure, I asked for a policy clarification on the Wikiproject Airports discussion page, mentioning our disagreement over Amadeus listings and WAW. Since cargo flights are listed separately, I think charters belong in a separte section as well. --Mareklug ^talk 16:27, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

WAW destination lists

1. Agreed that the airpost is called Poprad//Tatry; however, this is a list of destinations, not a list of airports
2. Also, the norm is to say "resumes", not "restarts"
3. It is Burgas in English, and this is the English Wikipedia

Austrian @ WAW

Re your comment "it's not right to classify rare aicraft replacements as seasonal flights".

• OS 623/624 will be flown by mainline Austrian throughout the summer. That's hardly a "rare" aircraft replacement; it is , indeed, a seasonal operation. Thanks, Jasepl (talk) 06:01, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

And I will do my job until you update fleet info of every single airline according to your vision. It is not my fault that LOT does not update its website frequently. Two B735 fly in Africa for example, and LOT flies 12 E175.

LOT-Polish airlines; Fleet

I've undid your revision to the fleet of LOT Polish airlines and will continue to do so unless you show valid evidence which you cannot have. www.LOT.com has not confirmed any changes in the fleet; with that the article will remain untouched until such change on their official webpage is available. http://lot.com/web/lot/fleet proves my point.
