Help edit
I need help. I am good with many things, but having confidence to edit pages using templates is not my forte. I want to contribute and have a lot to write, but I don't know how to get started and have had a few negative experiences already that have made me a touch more nervous. Please help. I have been given a tour before but I was sort of left with an unclear understanding of what needs to be discussed where and how and with who. I would like to have a chance to talk to someone about those previous experiences so I can make some better sense of it all and know that the content I edit is put where it should be and also to make sure that I am not hurting the contributions of others in a feeble attempt to help and also to make sure that I don't put out a the wrong impression of my intent, as I would love to become an active and prolific contributor. - Hi Bean.scorn, welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a standard Welcome message at the top of this page, which has a number of useful links to help you get started. I'd also recommend you spend some time at the Teahouse, which is a (generally) friendly venue for new editors to get help starting out with Wikipedia. You might also like to consider the Co-op, which pairs new users with experienced mentors to help them learn the ropes.
