Bashley F.C.

edit

Hello Rob, and welcome to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Bashley F.C., we do not use sponsored stadium names on Wikipedia except in cases where the stadium has never had a non-sponsored name. For example, this why AFC Bournemouth are listed as playing at Dean Court, not the Vitality Stadium or Brighton are listed as playing at the Falmer Stadium not the Amex Stadium.

Also, the seating capacity is sourced to the Non-League Club Directory. You cannot change sourced information without providing a new source that supports the new information being added. If you can provide a source for the 300 seats, you are welcome to add it to the article.

Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, Number 57 11:51, 27 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

It’s not a sponsor, it’s named after a infant child who passed away ! Also all the premier league grounds are not amended !! Seating capacity is 300. Bashrob (talk) 19:14, 27 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello. As stated on the club website, this is a sponsored name (the company of the sponsor was named for the child). I have checked the articles on all 20 Premier League clubs and all are correct per the above statement (i.e. sponsored names are only used where the stadium has never had a non-sponsored alternative).
Regarding the capacity, you must provide a source stating that it is 300. You cannot change information that already has a source – this is effectively falsification, as if someone checks the source, they will see it is not the case. You can only change it when you provide a source. Thanks, Number 57 19:42, 27 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
All you need to do is provide a reliable source stating the seating capacity is now 300. To ensure its reliability, information on Wikipedia must be WP:Verifiable – this is a core policy. I am not sure what you mean by a source "of 2 days ago". No new source for the capacity has been provided in any of the edits made. Number 57 20:12, 27 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
