Locomotive articles edit

Re the four articles you've created on individual steam locomotives, please see this discussion where I've suggested that the articles really need better titles than just the locomotive's number. Mjroots (talk) 10:39, 11 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hunter Valley Steamfest edit

Please note, this edit to Hunter Valley Steamfest, in addition to restoring a previously deleted copyright violation that you had added, restored overlinking that had previously been removed with this edit. In general, terms are only linked once, not each time they are used. Other necessary edits that were made in accordance with the Wikipedia Manual of Style were also reverted by you today. This has now been corrected, again. --AussieLegend (talk) 22:07, 15 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

April 2013 edit

Please don't restore unsourced content to articles, as you did to Hunter Valley Steamfest,[1] especially without explanation and especially when it has been removed for a valid reason.[2] Claims like "I should know because I attend to the event each year" do not constitute reliable sources and cannot be used to substantiate addition of content to articles. --AussieLegend () 10:47, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

May 2013 edit

Again, please stop restoring content to Hunter Valley Steamfest without providing reliable sources for the content. As was the case with "I should know because I attend to the event each year", "comes from the book Hunter Valley Steamfest The First 25 Years. published for the 25th year. Barnesy Barnes the creator of the page" is not a reliable source. Per Wikipedia:Verifiability, inline citations are required. That you may have created the page is not relevant. Wikipedia editors do not own content that they create on Wikipedia. --AussieLegend () 11:52, 7 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

May i ask how "Hunter Valley Steamfest The First 25 Years. published for the 25th year" isn't a reliable source as it tells the history of the event and what Locos have attended. I have looked through the history of the event. I know what i am talking about.--User:Barnesy Barnes 10:36, 13 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

5917 edit

Quick question - what exactly is 5917? Is it a particular locomotive, a model of locomotive, or what? I sort of get the impression from the text that it's a specific unit, but I can't get a good handle on it. I'm trying to put together a lead, and can't get a start on it. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks! UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 13:43, 6 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
