Edit summaries

edit

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! DrKay (talk) 09:05, 2 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits

edit

Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Dominion of India, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. DrKay (talk) 09:05, 2 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Infobox officeholder

edit

Please familiarize yourself with the documentation at Template:Infobox officeholder. The purpose of the infobox template is to provide a simple summary in a consistent format. Please do not deviate from this format without discussing the change at the Template talk:Infobox officeholder page. Thank you. DrKay (talk) 09:05, 2 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not repurpose infobox parameters as you did at Amin al-Husseini and Kamil al-Husayni. The "name" parameter should only be used for names, not titles or honorifics. Please follow the directions at the template documentation pages, such as Template:Infobox person/doc. DrKay (talk) 10:08, 9 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

WP:INDICSCRIPT

edit

Please do not add Indic scripts to infoboxes outside the 'native name' parameter. If you disagree with the guideline linked above, you need to discuss it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject India. DrKay (talk) 09:05, 2 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm UA3. An edit that you recently made to Fahd of Saudi Arabia seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! UA3 (talk) 12:15, 2 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making test edits to Wikipedia pages, such as the one you made with this edit to Kamil al-Husayni, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 07:21, 9 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Amin al-Husseini. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Jim1138 (talk) 07:25, 9 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Oruç Reis. Serols (talk) 13:49, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:17, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Warning: Your editing

edit

Hi. Looking over your edit history I have a hard time finding anything useful or anything that hasn't been reverted almost immediately. Do note that WP:NOTHERE is a good reason to indef block an editor and, unless you stop needlessly tweaking stuff in Babur or other related articles that's what will happen to you. Best wishes. --regentspark (comment) 21:00, 3 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Shivaji. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 17:41, 7 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  regentspark (comment) 21:59, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
