G'day Mr Gdaymate, welcome to Wikipedia and nice to see your interest in Freo's new recruits, but just be careful of the notability guidelines, especially the WP:ATHLETE sub-clause, which some editors use to delete articles of footballers who haven't yet made their debut. I argue that if they satisfy the general notability guidelines, in that they have been the subject of non-trivial, independant coverage in a reliable source, then WP:ATHLETE doesn't apply. For the top draft picks, who often have full articles on them, this is not in doubt. For the lower picks, however, finding non-trivial coverage can be a problem. AFL or Freo FC articles can be claimed to be not independant. Draft lists or match reports can be considered trivial coverage. So whilst I think that being on an AFL list is notable, lots of others don't think along the same lines, so I'd stop now at Houghton and wait until the season starts and see if the lower picks get a game, or get non-trivial independant coverage. See Michael Walters (Australian footballer) for a low draft pick article that survived an WP:AFD last year, when some others did not. Look at last December in this list for the AFDmania that struck last year. This year's draft has been AFD free so far. Lets keep the quality and the references up to keep it that way.
