Delay loudspeakers

You keep using the term "support speakers" for the concept of loudspeakers that are away from the stage and closer to the audience. I have never heard "support speakers" used only for "delay speakers" even though I have been doing live sound professionally since 1988. The word support is fairly general; it could mean a number of things. Touring guys simply call them "delays", as in "the delays are a bit crunchy".

Also, your idea that "support speakers" are placed to the side of the audience is not correct for many installations which have delays hung or mounted over the audience, for instance under balconies in concert halls. Binksternet (talk) 15:28, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
