Project 3 Proposal Nally
For my Project 3, I would like the opportunity to edit the wiki page on the Modern artist, Mary Miss. She is an environmentalist artist I have never heard of and her name was on the list for requested expansion. I have read through some cites and articles on her and have found more information on her career and would like to add to her biography. I find what she does interesting because she creates with a purpose. Her purpose is to use her art to create social change and recognition of things in the economy and environment that have gone unnoticed. She creates her work in a way that combines and reshapes boundaries of architectural art. The wiki page on Ms. Miss currently is very vague and does not include much of her studies, training, progress, or current projects. I would also like to write more about her because in the process, I would gain the knowledge of this artist I am not familiar with and would not have known otherwise. I am an art major so it would be fitting if I wrote about an artist that has caught my eye and has the opportunity to inspire me. I would like to learn more about her education and the early life of her career. I would like to know how and why she chose to be an environmentalist artist and what pushes her to make changes in the public sphere. I would like to learn more about her previous work as well as her current. The wiki page on Ms. Miss is fairly short so I feel I will be making a big contribution to this site by doing my research and sharing what I have found. I am worried about the amount of articles and cites I will be able to contribute to my research, I have found two so far that are lengthy but I am not sure if I will need more sources.Atnal23 (talk) 18:48, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
