I think that a lot of the sitcoms listed are not showing cliches, but instead are being sytirical in nature. For example, Simpsons and Married with Children are not showing the chiched nuclear family that the Brady Bunch had. They do perhaps have the cliche of the comedical disfunctional nuclear family, but this again is a seperate, satyrical genre.
