Greetings, I'm assuming that you are Amy Schriefer, with NPR Music. First off, welcome to Wikipedia. Second, please note that the image you uploaded is inappropriate for uploading to Wikimedia Commons - which is only for free licensed works. As an official logo of NPR Music it needs to be adequately represented as copyrighted fair use content as described at WP:NFC - something I can do for you if you like. Second, and more importantly, writing content about NPR when you are employed by them is a breach of our guidelines on conflicts of interest. Wikipedia is not a marketing tool. In the future, please try and head our guidelines by refraining from writing about or linking to content on which you may have a conflict of interest. The best route to go is to propose new content or edits about such things on the article's discussion page for others without a COI to evaluate. Thank you, Steven Walling (talk) 20:23, 25 August 2008 (UTC) Please accept the apologies of my overzealous intern. I've removed the promotional images and support the removal of the page, if necessary. Using Wikipedia for promotional gain is not the intention. Aschriefer (talk) 21:35, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Having logos is perfectly acceptable, they just need to be licensed correctly to protect us from copyright infringement. I originally thought it would be easiest to just delete the article. But looking at the page, it's not too bad. NPR programs are obviously quite notable, and it just needs a little work. Really, our COI guidelines are more about the conduct of editors than deleting articles wholesale. Steven Walling (talk) 21:45, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Strobilus (talk) 15:45, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
