Hi Arty706! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. - Hey @Jonathan A Jones. I appreciate the note. This change does meet the standard for a minor edit. There is nothing to dispute about the legal definition of No Party Preference in the state of California. There is no legal definition of Independent in California. Please reference the linked Wiki page in my edit. Thanks. @Arty706 Arty706 (talk) 16:30, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
- You are wrong, it does not meet those standards. You seem to have some inside knowledge, or claim to have it, about voting in California. To you, your edit may have corrected an obvious mistake, but to others, it is not obvious and not a minor edit.
- It is a very bad idea for a newbie to claim to have deeper insights into Wikipedia customs than people who have been doing this for years. This also applies to your misunderstanding of the WP:3RR. You should adapt your modesty level to your amount of experience. --Hob Gadling (talk) 05:45, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- Heyo...don't come firing at me just because you disagree. NPP is not "insider knowledge." It replaced the now defunct "decline to state" which is the article referenced in my edit. Just because you don't know something doesn't make it uncommon knowledge. You should adapt your modesty to your actual knowledge of the world and back off.
- And, to reiterate, just because this is a new account doesn't mean I don't have experience editing. I correctly called out a 3RR violation which I will gladly escalate to someone outside of this page if it continues. Arty706 (talk) 15:52, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- I tried, but you refuse to learn. Plonk. --Hob Gadling (talk) 20:29, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
