Personal experience edit

See WP:NOR. However, the tree according to a number of sources that meet our criteria at WP:RS does have a vanilla scent, so you can replace your now reverted edit using a source, but please read WP:CITE and use the inline citation method already used in the article. Thanks. Also, when you delete text,as at Beringia, please leave an edit summary. I've replaced the text as there is no obvious reason to delete it. Taking a quick look at Google Books, I found some hiking books that state that Ponderosa Pine have a vanilla scent, but the natural history or botany texts seem to state that they did not. If you want to dig further, please feel free. We may need to do the usual Wikipedia thing of saying "some sources say that Ponderosa pines have a vanilla scent (ref)(ref)(ref), but others do not (ref)(ref)." —hike395 (talk) 15:53, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
