TLIG

Do you have any connection to TLIG that you would like to disclose? IRWolfie- (talk) 12:53, 24 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

For the record (this is in response to LuckyLouie) - I am not "working" for tlig nor am I part of tlig.org. I am simply a person who read some of the tlig books and, more importantly as far as this article is concerned, some of the books that have been written about Ryden by experts in the field (I was surprised by their scientific approach). They contain a LOT of information that was missing from the article. Thus, on my initial discovery of the VR article in wikipedia, it struck me that I had info/facts that I could use to help build/further develop it. So I made the decision to join the collaborative task of making this article more comprehensive, as my contributions over the last year/s demonstrate. This includes taking the initiative to get in touch with Ryden to inform her that I was working on this article and that I needed a photo from her for wikipedia which she chose.
Like other well intentioned editors with a niche interest, I have mostly edited for this article as it is particularly difficult to edit. Ryden, as you know, is a double controversy. She is controversial in the sense that there are people who believe God exists vs those who do not AND even for those who DO believe in God, they have to assess whether she is an authentic visionary or a fake or even heretical. Opinions are widely split in each category. Finally she is a living person, which exacerbates all the above. All these combined factors make this article very tough to edit.
Due to the controversy Ryden generates, there is a lot of explosive and negative media out there which results in a lot of individuals who are misinformed that have edited the article inserting false information, such as VR being excommunicated. Had it not been for my intervention in this example, wikipedia would likely still be falsely stating that Ryden has been excommunicated from her Church which, for an article of a person who travels within religious circles, is a big deal. If wikipedia had been a newspaper, they could have been sued for defamation for hosting such information. Furthermore, as you are well aware, there is always constant heated debate going on in the article's talk page which needs to be dealt with before the resumption of editing the article. Again, I am sure you can appreciate that all of this takes time to deal with.
Thus, for all the reasons above, I have been primarily focused on the Vassula Ryden article, which in wikipedia terms means I am an SPA. Given more time I'll perhaps edit more articles in the future. For the record I have done some minor edits in Graphene and Pope Shenouda's articles. I have other interests as well, namely nanotechnology and nuclear fusion, however I have not had time to get into those articles. Arkatakor (talk) 08:30, 28 May 2012

I am assuming you are referring to my latest comment in the Vassula Ryden talk page. First off, I have not been uncivil. Second off, you are far from being in a position to make such comments. You have been flagged for disruptive behavior by Guy Macon in the archived DRN (see comment 21:51, 1 July 2012) as a result of your constant talking about other users instead of content.
