Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:GrossoOfJacopoContarini.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:GrossoOfJacopoContarini.jpg and also as Image:V1275.jpg. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. I dogi di Venezia

Hey, Aricamberden. I'm glad to see you're taking an interest in editing doge-related articles on Wikipedia. I recently brought Domenico Selvo up to Featured Article status, so I like to think of myself as the only person around here doing anything about the history of Venice :-D. It's good to know that there's someone else interested in it now! Anyway, I just wanted to point a few things out to you that I've made more or less standard in doge articles, but haven't brought across to all articles yet:

1. Doge succession box: {{VeniceDogeSuccession}}

   This succession box was pretty much lifted from the IT Wiki and I've put it in use for a bunch of doges in the 10th and 11th centuries. If you could stick this at the bottom of the page for any new doges you create, I would be very grateful. Here is how you put it in for, say, Jacopo Contarini:

   {{VeniceDogeSuccession|title=Venetian doges|period=[[1275]]-[[1280]] |predecessor=[[Lorenzo Tiepolo]]|successor=[[Giovanni Dandolo]]}}

2. Infobox monarch: {{Infobox Monarch}}

   I used this one because it's the simplest I've found. For use, be sure to consult the template talk page or just look at the top of Domenico Selvo.

3. Metadata: Wikipedia:Persondata

   This is kind of a pain in the ass, but it will be useful in the long run for biography articles. You can find an example of this at the bottom of Domenico Selvo and more information at the above link.

4. Doge of Venice category

   Adding [[Category:Doges of Venice]] to the bottom of every doge page will help build this category.

5. Good referencing

   It is the stated goal of Wikipedia to verify all of the claims it makes. I abided by this in the Domenico Selvo article and I hope you can get into it as well. For more info on how to cite sources and put this little ¹ things in your article, check out this useful help page.
