Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Self promotion

edit

Please stop using the article Samurai for self promotion, and entering non-notable works and non-film works into the Films influenced by Samurai section. Canterbury Tail talk 13:15, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removal of tags

edit

Please do not remove Wikipedia maintenance tags from articles. Those tags are place on articles to direct other editors there to fix problems on the article. In this case the article was tagged for Wikification, tidying and because it is not referenced and needs more references. Please do not remove these tags as they are being placed there for a good reason. Once the issues they are placed there for are resolved, then they can be removed. For further information on them, just click on the links contained in those tags. Thanks. Canterbury Tail talk 13:42, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Nigel Clarke

edit

The article Nigel Clarke has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No secondary sources added in 18 months of existence, no attempt to assert notability, and it was previously decided at AfD to delete or userfy it.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Promotion

edit

Hi AFM, it's really not appropriate to use Wikipedia to promote people or groups, such as here, and the several other examples of the same thing. Please see WP:NOT. Many thanks, SlimVirgin talk contribs 05:59, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
