three-revert rule violations on Salafism and Abd-al-Aziz ibn Abd-Allah ibn Baaz

edit

Hello, according to the evidence presented at this report you have violated Wikipedia's three-revert rule at Salafism and Abd-al-Aziz ibn Abd-Allah ibn Baaz. Since you do not seem to have been warned about the three-revert rule prior to this report, you have not been blocked, but further violations will result in your account being blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of time. Please familiarize yourself with the rule, and avoid edit-warring in the future. The 3RR does not entitle you to three reverts per day, and the way to solve a dispute is through discussion, not edit warring. --Akhilleus (talk) 15:44, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry Akhilleus for the violation. I hope this will never happen again, although there was no violation on Ibn Baaz's article. --Arawiki 11:47, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

How about using the Mediation Cabal?

edit

... To sort out your disagreements with Mezzo? I don't know much about it but it could be worth a try. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:MEDCAB --Leroy65X 15:00, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

please reconsider your approach to editing

hello Arawiki. i am not particularly involved in the articles you currently seem to be editing, but i would ask that you consider thinking about your approach to editing. your previous contributions show that a large number of them are sterile reverts. to be blunt: it isn't a very healthy sign; and i am sure you are finding it to be ineffective and time-wasting. you have plenty of time and oppurtunity to take things slowly and utilize the discussion page to arrive at a compromise. you can try breaking down the extensive reverts and focus on one specific issue - reach an agreement on it, and then move onto the next one. if you are finding that talk page discussion is leading you nowhere, there are other avenues to take, such as requesting outside views or formal mediation. try constructive dispute resolution techniques, the constant back-and-forth warring will only stain your and MezzoMezzo's reputations, and you both might just end up getting blocked for it. thanks. Brother, thank you for your comment. In fact, I have tried to talk to Mezzo, but he is very fanatic person and he does not accept any compromise. While I am ready for an arbitration or a mediation, this did not work with Mezzo in the past. If you are willing to do a mediation, you are very welcomed. --Arawiki (talk) 04:39, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
taking an issue such as this to arbitration will likely reflect badly on both of you in the long run. i am willing to voluntarily mediate the dispute occuring between the both of you, should you accept me as a mediator. ITAQALLAH 19:51, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
from your last comment i am assuming that you accept me as an informal mediator. the mediation page may be viewed here. there is also an oppurtunity for you to give an overview of the dispute from your perspective. ITAQALLAH 13:29, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
I accept you as an informal mediator. I am very busy now, so give me some time to post my comments. --Arawiki (talk) 21:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
