LDS WikiProject

edit

I've noticed that you have an interest in editing articles related to Mormonism, and wanted to invite you to take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Latter Day Saint movement, which is a group effort to improve, maintain, and create new articles of that nature. Take a look, see if you'd like to take part. Tijuana Brass 00:25, 14 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Saw your comment on Visorstuff - he does that to me too - but we really need many good editors as sometimes editors stop for a while. Please stick around and help on the project. Trödel 22:01, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I too am sorry for my condescending tone and rambling-answer/response tendencies. I guess I get sick of hearing the same arguments over and over again, when most arguments are very unfounded and overly-simplistically-absolutish in nature. I've since apologized to Reaverdrop (User_talk:Reaverdrop#No_offense_meant) for my inappropriateness, and he has responded back User_talk:Visorstuff&diff=cur#talk_page_tangents. Each Wikipedia editor has a great deal to contribute - in particular, he asks some very good questions that keeps the articles NPOV and offers a great deal to the current project (in addition to being a gifted writer).
My purpose from the beginning on wikipedia is to help ensure that the history and doctrines of the Church are accurate. I don't have a lot of time to edit. And in general, I don't do a lot of the solid editing that Strom Rider and Trodel do. They and others know much more than I in many areas. Each editor has their own knowledge base. I hope you do keep editing Wikipedia articles - we need more good editors. I definitely don't know everything, nor do I claim to. Please don't leave on my account and my easily-frustrated nature. Happy editing, and hope to see you around. -Visorstuff 22:54, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Don't worry guys. I didn't mean literally that I wasn't going to participate here anymore. I was just seriously impressed by Visorstuff's response. You certainly know your stuff. I have been turned off in general by internet sites and a general lack of people capable of participating in polite discourse, but I thought Visorstuff's response to Reaverdrop was thorough and authoritative without attacking him (her?) personally. I really admire you guys for sticking it out through all the vandalism that must occur on LDS articles. I might take a break for a while, but so far Wikipedia is where I've found the least amount of flaming and personal attacks, and the most amount of sincere people trying to do good work. Oh, and I really enjoyed that LDSFAQ you linked to. Aranhamo 23:25, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
