Orphaned non-free image (Image:Puzzle potato.png) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Puzzle potato.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:41, 20 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Puzzle Potato edit

Hi. Please consider developing pages in user space (e.g. User:AragornSonOfArathorn/Sandbox) before creating a page in mainspace. Having articles with no content other than "under construction" and "in use" templates makes Wikipedia seem unprofessional in my opinion. Also, it is my understanding that the inuse template was intended to indicate editing taking place for a short period - no more than a couple of hours, stating that the page is inuse for a week seems like an abuse of this template to me. Technically, as this article has no content, it meets the criteria for speedy deletion, however, as a courtesy I have not tagged it as such (but I cannot guarantee that another editor will not). --Darksun 17:45, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Puzzle Potato again edit

Hi. It's not a problem to create a short starter article, and I would never delete an article on the grounds of length. However, when there is no content other than templates, categories, images or web links, the article gets speedily deleted (as explained above) simply because there is so much vandalism around that there isn't time to discuss it if we want to keep it under control. So sorry for deleting the page so quickly - just follow the guidelines and you'll be fine. Deb 17:57, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
