A belated welcome! edit

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Aqua817. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Aristophanes68 (talk) 20:27, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Reverting vandalism edit

Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from Southern Africa. We appreciate this, but unfortunately your edit was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you.

P.s. I feel kinda flattered that the dog and rapper vandal is so famous, since I did some of the work to block them, but the editor who made that vandalism was probably just a random Kennesaw State University student, per this link. Graham87 08:31, 17 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Salep edit

Thanks for your helpful contribution to the discussion over at Talk:Salep#Proposed merger of Saloop and Salep. You note there that I may go ahead and try to do it unilaterally because it is unlike that official administration will do it otherwise. Firstly, such an action wouldn't be unilateral, as the position you advocated had clear support (from others, including me), and secondly it is indeed the case that there is no official administration to do these merges; its just us normal users! So, feel free to edit boldly (particularly on uncontentious topics); you might want to see the WP article on the BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. Regarding the method of merging, and on merging, the rather obvious Merging. Klbrain (talk) 07:34, 7 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

PS: I have done that merge, so need to do that one! Klbrain (talk) 07:35, 7 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
