Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page United States oil politics, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see

If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so on Wikipedia:Sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Image:Gastank.jpg listed for deletion

edit

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Gastank.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. As an add-on to the canned message, I see the image as causing a violation of our neutral point of view article just about anywhere you could place it on Wikipedia. I think it's a great image, and actually saved a copy for myself for possible future use (if you see it at a DC-area protest, thank me), but I don't think Wikipedia is the place for it. Important notice

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in edits about, and articles related to, COVID-19, broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
