Hi Annika,

Your work is awesome I really enjoy everything related with morphology (characters) because I’m taxonomist (Lepidoptera “butterflies and moths”), even if in this class do not consider them.

  • My first point is that you can load good pictures about this structure and how to differentiate from other two structures in branches and leaves. Also would be amazing if you load pics of the different types of nectar spur on sepals, petals, or hypanthium.
  • Second, all the scientific names have to be in italic format.
  • The common name of the Darwin’s moth that you mention, it is actually Morgan's sphinx moth (Xanthopan morgana praedicta) it isn’t necessary use the prefix ssp. You should link this species to your work from Wikipedia it has an imagen of Darwin’s book where appears those moths and orchids with nectar spurs that you talking about. Note their tongues are really long even more than 28 cm sometimes they reach 32 cm of length.
  • Is there information about phylogeny based on this structure? If it is, you should add an imagen or make the tree by yourself.
  • You also should add more information about plant families that present this structures.
  • You could change the word NOTES by references that looks more professional I think so.
