i re-coded the lost info box to make last appearance optional, since there are a lot of characters yet to make a last appearance. --EXV // + @ 23:42, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

LOST flashback characters

edit

I saw you have made edits to Shannon/Hearts and Minds. There's a discussion of this at Talk:Characters_of_Lost#Flashback_characters. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks. --Milo H Minderbinder 14:05, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Er...ok? Do you mean when I put "Hearts and Minds" in its correct place in her episode centricity list? Or do you mean I kept removing it from the list? Either way, I'm still open-minded about the whole matter, but as I stated, if I absolutely had to choose, I'm kinda swayed by the Boone-only group...but I've placed a suggestion for everyone to do, which is to leave a message for the show's producers/executives/etc.

Re: Some pages I have created - error

edit
  • I actually created one of the many "Expose" pages in the first place, and then someone cut and pasted it to another page, and made mine a redirect. I just thought I deserved credit for it, but I'll remove it from my list if you want. Regards. -- SilvaStorm

Left Behind

edit

I was just reading the article you created, Left Behind (Lost). I cannot find a single thing that has been officially confirmed in it, apart from it being a Kate flashback. The title has not been officially confirmed and it was originally taken from an unidentified source from Spoilerfix.com. I believe there have been discussions where we agreed to only create episode articles after they have been officially confirmed. SergeantBolt (t,c) 23:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Charlie_dead.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Charlie_dead.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 03:01, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lost character flashback edits

edit

I understand your reversion of my addition of "Exodus, Part 2" to a number of characters' centric episodes, but I think you're forgetting the flashback at the end of the episode which features all of the characters boarding the plane. It focuses on no one character, so I believe it should be accredited to all of them (except Boone, of course, who was already dead). Jon Hart 14:42, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please try and always use edit summaries

edit

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. GoodnightmushTalk 20:22, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Normal libby.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Normal libby.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 18:31, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Normal 3x21-hitscap872.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Normal 3x21-hitscap872.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:35, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tim Hughes

edit

I noticed you were an admin on your User page, so I'll keep the peace...but I noticed you had deleted details about Tim's marriage to Rachel and his new-born daughter, even though I posted references to said events. Rather than directly add them again, I thought I'd ask if there was a reason for removing the information and whether or not said information is eligible to go back up.--Animé Dan (talk) 18:32, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

There were a couple of considerations -- first is that the sources given weren't quite strong enough; one was Tim Hughes' blog, and the other only mentioned that he was due to get married, rather than any details. Secondly, we tend not to include lots of personal details about marginally-notable people on Wikipedia, see Wikipedia:NPF#People_who_are_relatively_unknown. — Matt Crypto 10:34, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Daylight Breaks Through album cover.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Daylight Breaks Through album cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 12:04, 23 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Nikki with paulo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Nikki with paulo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
