Market Garden edit

Ok this is very simple the vast majority of sources that we have consulted have called the operation an allied operational failure. They rarely talk about the strategic side of things and from the main body of the text we know their was tactical victories and defeats up and down the Netherlands on both sides.

If you disagree with the historical works consulted provide some evidence. I.e. published reliable sources.--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 10:11, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

To be honest i think the replies sent to you were pretty logical and factual. Keith also put you onto another operation that when viewed simply in a win/lose sense has lead to some historians to be, unfairly, heavily critical of the British infantry and tankers; however studied by post revisionist historians (not to mention a number of pre-revisionist historians) the argument that the British failed to achieve their ultimate objective equals an automatic German victory is dismissed; do have a look at Operation Epsom for additional information.--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 14:41, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Misconceptions about transitional fossils edit

A few years ago you brought up the issue of that section (which was later named "Creationist arguments") from the transitional fossils. I have recently removed the section, but for other reasons. I argued that there are other articles that discuss the controversy, and that this article should focus only on transitional fossils. I am working on expanding the examples in the article and improving it so it eventually gets GA or FA status. See these recent discussions for more information:

Thanks for the heads up, but after seeing various paleontology articles here, I see that I'm no match for a group of activists who have WP policy wrapped around their finger. The whole thing has left a sour taste in my mouth and a bewilderment over what WP:SOAP or WP:BATTLEGROUND could possibly mean--I just wash my hands of the whole thing. No, I'll just stick to the science in which I'm trained: computers. That's one that is very market-driven and not easily affected by any small elite. AngusCA (talk) 03:10, 23 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
