AZ Science Center
editThe Arizona Science Center opened in April 1997 in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, located at 600 East Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85004. Construction began on the current structure, designed by Antoine Predock, in mid-1994. Today the Arizona Science Center contains over 40,000 square feet of hands-on exhibition space, as well as the giant-screen Irene P. Flinn Theater (seating 285) and the computer-controller Dorrance Planetarium (seating 200). The Arizona Science Center is the only facility of its size in the Phoenix area, and is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, excepting Thanksgiving and Christmas.
