Why this page edit

Taking personal attacks to ANI in connection with NYRM2016 proved fruitless. IMO that RM was a fiasco, and the persistent personal attacks on one side of the discussion were a factor in this.

Attempting to discuss this at wt:ANI proved equally fruitless, and again there were persistent personal attacks on one side.

There have been several suggestions that I drop the stick, and I have no intention of going against consensus. But there has been no consensus to abandon wp:NPA. Yet it appears to have happened. Comments? Andrewa (talk) 17:17, 4 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Further from ANI edit

It's not obvious to me why this edit didn't earn a short but instant block when raised at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:Jack Sebastian. The whole discussion deserves analysis once it goes to the archive. Andrewa (talk) 00:15, 2 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

An interesting link edit

See http://slatestarcodex.com/2014/08/14/beware-isolated-demands-for-rigor/ for an interesting view related to wp:5P5. Andrewa (talk) 18:21, 6 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
