Lionel Messi's mother

Hey Andreaar. That his mother's name is Italian is not enough to support the claim as it falls under Original Research. What this policy states is that as editors we are not to include information that we conclude is true even if it is true but only information supported by reliable sources. As for his mother, having an Italian surname doesn't mean she qualifies as Italian for any of a variety of reasons (e.g., adoption, 10th generation Argentinean, etc.) . Second, the new source you supplied is to a blog which almost always means it's not a reliable source by Wikipedia standards. Finally, I didn't revert your edits, someone else did. All I did was question their veracity. That said, the reasons I gave here are probably why someone else reverted them. SQGibbon (talk) 01:13, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
