Dear Amiguitos-plumeria,

I am a member of the Havanese Club of American and was asked by the club president to update the Havanese Wikipedia page to align with the AKC Havanese Breed Standard. My edits included footnotes to clearly identify the sources used. Your changes to these edits omitted any footnotes so I am unclear as to where this information has come from. Since your source is not the AKC standard, it may be best to separated out your information from the AKC breed standard information throughout the entire article. Subheadings could be used under each primary heading to accomplish this. My personal feeling is that the Wikipedia write-up should not regurgitate the Havanese Breed Standard as written by the AKC or by any other official organization. This information is better served by the committee with the authority to implement the standard. Wikipedia should stick to a more simplified description, appearance. etc.

My club is not comfortable with the discrepancy between Wikipedia and the official AKC Havanese Breed Standard. Please let me know how you feel we can resolve this issue--Loganandgarth (talk) 03:39, 12 March 2011 (UTC).Reply
