File:Motherussia.jpg Hello Amalas, and thank you for your support at my request for adminship, which ended with an awe-inspiring 86/1/2 result. I plan to do much with my shiny new tools - but I'll start slow and learn the ropes at first. Please deluge me with assignments and requests - I enjoy helping out. Thanks for the stub-sorting

Hello there, I just wanted to thank you for the stub-sorting that you did on my recently created article. Is there a list of stub categories that I could refer to in the future? Thanks again. --Tachikoma 21:56, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Oops, never mind the list. I forgot that I had a link to the list in my toolbox!--Tachikoma 00:51, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks from me too! I wasn't aware there were stub categories, now i know better :) Sunhawk 16:03, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Another thanks for sorting Deconsecration, my very first article (no linger a virgin!). I wasn't even aware of stub sorting before you came along, so double thanks. I'll be sure to sort my stub tags from here on in. badmonkey 07:24, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
I too would just like to say thanks for the sorting on Thomas Joshua Cooper I'll try and make a point of sorting any new articles myself --Slipmesomething 15:41, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Please help on William Shakespeare

Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week William Shakespeare was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help…

I've closed the CFD regarding this category earlier today. If you disagree with my decision, please change other templates that used to feed in it and listing at WP:CFD/W so that dulpicate categories are not created (Category:Wikipedia articles whose topics' importance is unclear and Category:Wikipedia articles with topics of unclear importance). Conscious 16:59, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Oops, too late. And now I see that you have changed the category according to JDoorjam's note. I'll go talk to him about this. Conscious 17:05, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
JDoorjam said he'll handle this. Sorry for disturbance. Conscious 17:32, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Re: Comics-artist-stub

I would have just listed it myself, but I checked WP:WSS/P and it didn't seem like there was a consensus,

Eh? There was "sounds reasonable. BL Lacertae - kiss the lizard 00:21, 13 June 2006 (UTC)", "Good idea. Steve block Talk 12:44, 13 June 2006 (UTC)" and, in the end, I dragged a "At any rate, what we're disagreeing about is the deletion of a stub type, for which is not the correct venue, rather than the actual proposals, on which we're entirely in accord." out of Alai, who was the only other commenter,

Only thing is that they're not done sorting yet. I got so tired I stopped after getting them up to threshold + ten or so, and haven't got back to them yet, so listing a number for them on WP:WSS/ST wouldn't be entirely accurate.

And I presume the other ones were in-process, but you may have noticed my moaning about there being no attempt to keep WP:CMC in on the loop about the creation of new comic-related stub types by WP:WSS. - SoM 11:02, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for categorising my article. Is there a list of all of the categories for stubs somewhere? David P. A. Hunter

Stub Sorting Project

I noticed you were participating in the stub sorting project. I was interested in participating in it as well and I was wondering how do you join? If you could leave a message at my talk page with info that would be great! Thanks! --Tuspm Talk | E-Mail Me 20:00, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

The Icebird

"Congrats! (although, I think the naming convention would be a lowercase 's' in ship...) Amalas =^_^= 13:40, 28 June 2006 (UTC)" Thanks for actually leaving a message in the correct page. :-) You're the first person to do so. Is there a way of renaming from Ship to ship? I don't know how, so if you do would you please tell me? Ta. Your one true god is David P. A. Hunter, esq. III Talk to me! 08:54, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

DHCCI

I saw the speedy tag you added to the article DHCCI. I think that I would prefer to keep the article as a stub rather than discard it entirely, but thank you for flagging the article. TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 18:03, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

You beat me to it!

I added the stub template to West Newton, Indiana and then went off to try to find the approriate category stub to change it to, and came back less than a minute later and you'd already changed it. Good job with the quick stub-sorting. ONUnicorn 19:36, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Dan Negru stub-sorting

hello! :-) I was stub-sorting Dan Negru and there was an edit-conflict. :-) I cancelled my edit. Is that what we are supposed to do? Or are there other options? For academic interest, is {{tv-bio-stub}} another possible stub choice for this article? --anirudh 14:58, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your advice! :-) you did not explain too much. I would rather someone(myself included) "err on the side of more detail rather than less" as you said. and...why is a double stub frowned upon? Doesn't it allow more people to notice it? So wouldn't it actually be better? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. --anirudh 15:13, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! So I guess I will take that as a convention. :-) --anirudh 15:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Question re Andre Lucas article and stubs

n00b question here, at what point does an article no longer qualify as a stub, and the stub tag can be removed? I created the Andre Lucas article today, and I think it might be at the point where it is no longer a stub. Crockspot 18:35, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the reply. I'll leave it as a stub. There are a lot of men who served with/under him who could/would add things. Crockspot 19:16, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Your change on "Montage (film")

Hi, about your change here: [1]. I agree that the article "montage" is about the film making process, that it is not a film by itself. However, I don't think that a) the tag "filming" properly describes the topic "film making" because it only refers to shooting film, and b) I think that the topic of film is a reasonable closed one that we don't need two extensions to refer to it. You did similar edits to "scene", "Sequence", "Shot", "Wrap party" etc. Do you mind if I change those edits back? Peter S. 15:48, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

I think we are in agreement that those things are not a film, and probably shouldn't be marked as such. I'm a stub-sorter, and {tl|film-stub}} is much different than {{filming-stub}}, so I thought that the articles should match that. At the time, it seemed like a good idea. However, you do have a good point about having two different extensions for essentially the same topic. I don't think I would have a huge problem with you changing them back. However, I've already changed all the articles that linked to them to use 'filming', so you'll have to change them all back. Thanks for letting me know about this, and I think that your reasoning is valid. Have a great day and happy editing! ~ Amalas rawr=^_^= 20:54, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your nice reply! I will change the ones back that I can find and have time for :-) Did you use a tool to automatically change all them or did you do it manually? Cheers! Peter S. 21:14, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
I changed them manually by going to the "What links here" link. There's actually not as many of them as I thought, so it shouldn't be too bad. ~ Amalas rawr =^_^= 00:45, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I changed them back. The borders between "film" (as a viewer or knowledgable film geek) and "filming" (as a creator or part of the movie industry) are quickly disappearing. Example Night-for-night - something film geeks know about, but also something film creators care about. I would suggest merging the two. Just my 2 cents, though, I'm no stub-sorter. Thank your for your help! :-) Peter S. 01:06, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Dancer-stub

Please go ahead and create {{dancer-stub}} if you're ready to populate it. I was waiting only because all I'd have time for now would be to put it on the ToDo list for populating once created if I had done it. Caerwine Caerwhine 09:04, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
