Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to List of ATP number 1 ranked singles players. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Please wait till this information is actually published by the source provided. That is our policy here.   Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to List of ATP number 1 ranked singles players. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. This is the second time I've mentioned this to you, and it's right there in CAPITAL letters not to update rankings such as weeks at number 1 until the ATP site updates its own records. Otherwise it's original research. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:18, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at List of ATP number 1 ranked singles players, you may be blocked from editing. It's not April 7 yet, and you have given no source for this. ATP is at March 31. Please stp using WP:Crystal Ball Fyunck(click) (talk) 21:42, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Stats in football players' infoboxes

edit

Hi, when you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter. This shows when the stats were last updated and prevents editors from accidentally updating the stats again. Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 21:41, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Lionel Messi

edit

Hi, can I ask why you have been removing appearances/goals from the career stats table at Lionel Messi, like you did with this edit? Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 15:42, 23 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your stats are wrong.. The ones I update are correct. in 2011-12 champions league messi scored 14 goal in 11 matches, not 15 in 12!!!!!!!! And in 2013-14 champions league he scored 8 in 6 matches not 7 matches!!!!!!!

If you check the footnotes accompanying the stats, you'll see the 2011/12 figures also include a Super Cup match, and in 2013/14 Messi did in fact make seven Champions League appearances, not six. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:15, 25 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Super cup matches count as "Other" you idiot. Europe refers to UEFA Champions League or UEFA europa League. And in 2013-14 he played 6 matches. Make the sum a you will see what it gives you. In the official statistics it appears Messi has played so far as of right now 92 matches you idiot.

Football infobox timestamp

edit

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:10, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
