Request reason:

It says I have been caught by a colocation web host block, I don't believe I am using that sort of thing. I'm not too keen on the technicalities of how these things work but that seems like something I would have done purposely and known about. I haven't caused any trouble on Wikipedia and I would like my account back since this doesn't seem related to anything I have personally done. AlphaNumerical1 (talk) 01:47, 15 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Without knowing your underlying IP, it's impossible for us to help with this request. To do so privately, I would suggest requesting your unblock via WP:UTRS. Please note that using a proxy, or a VPN will usually cause this, and the solution is normally to not use a proxy or VPN. SQLQuery me! 03:21, 15 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I don't understand what I'm being accused of. Now they say it's a webhost cloud servicing provider. I gave the IP address that it said the ban is for, but then I checked my IP address and it's different, but I gave the address it said I was banned for, at least it looks different. I don't know if that makes a difference. The other one might be for editing once or twice from a library computer. But now they say it's closed on the USRS and I don't know if it's appropriate to submit another one through that or even if it's appropriate to respond this way, but I don't know what else to do. It's a really long ban for something that I don't fully understand and I feel like it's some sort of mistake. AlphaNumerical1 (talk) 10:19, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

You are not accused of anything, this account is not blocked. You just can't edit while using the hard-blocked IP. You say that your IP is "different" than the one bloked, but it's actually just part of the blocked range (as I explained to you in the e-mail). It is perfectly appropriate to write here as long as your messages are related to the block. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:43, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
