Untagged image edit

An image you uploaded, Image:ATENEO-SEAL.gif, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 15:56, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Bukas Palad Music Ministry edit

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Bukas Palad Music Ministry. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Your original contributions are welcome. --- Tito Pao 14:18, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

No problemo... edit

...just let me know if you need help on refactoring the article. I'll watch from the sidelines while I give you enough leeway to do this. If you need assistance, just let me know. I just wanted to make sure that no one else would make the regrettable mistake of tagging the BP article for deletion...sayang naman kung ganun-ganun lang ang mangyayari sa article, since I'm sure the other forum members would be interested to edit the article, too ;-)

Since you have better knowledge of the BP albums, I suggest that you also create individual articles for each album. You can use the Hangad articles as a basis (btw, I created all these articles :) Be careful, too, of uploading images without the proper copyright tags as untagged images get more speedily deleted than articles. --- Tito Pao 21:27, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. edit

There is a slight difference between the seal now posted at the Ateneo de Manila University article (right) and the seal scannned directly from a school newspaper (left). The divisions of the ribbons separating "1859-2009" and "The Ateneo Way" are not the same. If there is a way this can be fixed (according to the seal on the left), please do so. The colors of the seal on the right, however, are fine.

Fair use rationale for Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.JPG edit

Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:07, 22 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ateneo Sesquicentennial logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:49, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ATENEO-SEAL.gif edit

Thank you for uploading Image:ATENEO-SEAL.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 19:55, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
