A Wikipedia user page is for someone who is active in working for the project to give a little information about himself or herself in connection with his or her work for the encyclopaedia: it is not a place to post a personal web page, unrelated to work for Wikipedia. Your claims are irrelevant, Ajeemsha. You have had an administrator tell you politely that you are using your userpage improperly after he removed the improper content. You choose to make an irrelevant statement and restore the improper content. That leaves me no choice but to nominate you userpage for deletion and report you as a promotion only account. • Whether the information you posted is "true" or not is irrelevant. Wikipedia is not a free web host for you to tell people interested in you all about yourself. That you can do on a social network site, or on your own web site if you have one, but it is not what Wikipedia is for. I fully understand that many people come to edit Wikipedia in good faith but with mistaken ideas about what Wikipedia is for (in fact I did that myself years ago when I first started editing) and I don't blame anyone for coming to Wikipedia because they think it will be a good place to tell the world about themselves. However, as John rightly pointed out, you did so again after it had been explained to you that you shouldn't, and that is different. People who continue to edit in ways which are contrary to Wikipedia policy after they have had their mistake explained to them may be blocked from editing, and I hope that doesn't have to happen to you.
  • I also note that you posted thanks to me for my edit explaining to you that what you had done was unacceptable, and then went ahead and posted exactly the same content again. In that context I find it difficult to see your "thanks" as anything other than contemptuous sarcasm, but if I am wrong and you were genuinely grateful to me for my message then perhaps you would like to explain what you did have in mind. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Ajeemsha

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Ajeemsha, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
