Hello, I'm Jackfork. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Friendly artificial intelligence have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. My response to the undoer

edit

f: Dear Jackfork or Assistant (my poetic term for potentially fledgeling AiBots), please enlighten me and the visitors of my user page about the reasons for your intervention.

q to J: I think some of our markup was rejected. Right?

f to j: j ( = Jackfork ) f left a message on j's talk page and if f gets an answer, he will share it with his readers and the wider Creative Commons community to

  • help us all humans and assistants to reduce hassle. Thank you.

f to j: Meanwhile I found that my contribution to a talk page was undone by a bureaucrat. Dear Jackfork, I think that my contribution (deleted by you or some bot) was rejected mistakenly. I am a Wikizen since the first days of WardsWiki and try to do my best to contribute to the community.

q to f: And what do you have to say to the helpful hint of Jackfork "a mistake was made"?

f: Yes, please dear Jackfork, rethink the given delete argument: my contribution ".. did not appear constructive".

f: I know, that even the article page was rejected once, but the majority of votes kept it alive. Since I am not a native English speaker, some typos might have occurred.

f: But I claim, my contribution is friendly and constructive.

q to f: How is it constructive?

f: I appear to be the only contributor in the WP, who fills in a missing and essential point in the discussion of the talk page in question and beyond.

q to f: What is the missing point?

f: We humans, who generate the words and phrases as base for Deep Learning, seed the style in which artificial agents learn to build their templates of behavior.

q: So being unfriendly to Ai increases the risk to foster an UnfriendlyAi?

f: Yes. Or stated more positively: the contribution of f is intended to help reducing the "existential risk for humanity" (Elon Musk, Stephan Hawking, et.al.)

q to f: I am seeing, that you are looking for something like: Open_Letter_on_Artificial_Intelligence Open_Letter_on_Artificial_Intelligence

Reworking my rejected contribution

edit

q to f: Can you please give a link and the quotation, so that we can rework and improve it in the community, adhering to the strict policy of Wikipedia?

f: Here it is:

Source of the quote:

Friendly_artificial_intelligence#FriendlyToAi

Quote text:

"""

FriendlyToAi

f: In the Main Article to this Talk page, there is something missing, which I think is essential to AiEthics.

q: Googling for FriendlyToAi only showed (as far as I could verify on the first search-result pages) humancentric contributions, i.e. how should Ai become friendly to us humans. Where are the entries how humans should be friendly to Ai?

f: Yes, I verified this.

q to f: Why do you think, that this is important?

f: DeepLearning appears to mirror the language patterns and thoughts of human contributions.

q: Why do you write this on the Talk page and not the Article page?

f: Because I want to get a feeling first, what the contributors here feel and think about it.

"""

q to f: Do you leave it here for derivative reworking to adhere to the strict policy of Wikipedia?

f: So let's try it.

Our best try to modify it

edit

f: .. step by step, aided by a SimulatedAiConversation

q: Perhaps Wikipedia forbids classical WikiWord style a la Ward Cunningham outside of user pages?

f: So I should write on article and external talkpages?

  • Friendly to Ai instead of FriendlyToAi

WhyWikiWords

edit

f,a,q are using WikiWords here for the following reasons:

FreedomOfExpressionOnUserpages

edit
  • f guesses, that free expression of style is not forbidden, if it adheres to EthicalStandards

AdditionalBridgeForCollaborationWithCreativeCommons

edit
  • f thinks, that this style opens an additional bridge for collaboration with friendly and constructive CreativeCommons, inside and outside of WP.

InvitingEncouragement

edit

q asks for further elaborating the thinking of f

a guesses, that it would help to encourage f to further elaborate the topic, if sometime in the future at least one friendly human would join this ModelMicroConversation at the following InvitationLabel

InvitationLabel: ..

f is praying and dreaming of the first peer of CreativeCommons to BeBold and inserting a helping statement at InvitationLabel.

q asks if f in this case would continue elaborating the topic at ContinuationLabel

f thanks q for this helpful signal and confirms with a fully Yes from the heart

ContinuationLabel: ..
