History Bo Kaspers Orkester was formed in 1991 and their debut album, Söndag'' i sängen (Sunday in bed), was released in 1993. The album contains music samples from various jazz musicians including Per Johansson. The band had a unique sound described as “easily sophisticated” at the time of the release of Söndag i sängen. Their music has been described as a mix of pop, jazz, and Latin American influences. They got their break through being the orchestra of a famous TV show. Their first audience were Swedish university students but after the release of På Hotell they started to attract a larger audience.


Bo Kaspers Orkester was one of the best-selling Swedish bands in the ‘90s and I Centrum has been described as the band's biggest hit with songs like “Undantag” (Exceptions). This is the band's most sold album.


The band’s eleventh album, Redo att sönder was recorded in the famous Atlantis studio where other musicians including ABBA, Elvis Costello, Monica Zetterlund and Robyn have recorded their music.
